Ogun State, Nigeria – February 29, 2012 – Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state will, on Thursday March 1, 2012 kick off activities for the hosting of the maiden edition of the Ogun State Investors’ Forum.
The Governor will unveil the official logo for the Investors’ Forum at a brief media ceremony in his Oke Imosan, Abeokuta office. The occasion will be used to explain the idea and objective of the forum to a cross section of the media.
The forum, Themed, Ogun State: Open for Business, is an international summit of thought leaders, business investors and technocrats in investment management to hobnob with Ogun State Government in order to tap into the abundant business opportunities in the State.
The Ogun State Investors’ Forum will feature key world leaders who have graciously accepted to share their experiences and contribute to the effort to develop a cogent and actionable plan to accelerate economic development of the State. More than 1000 delegates, cutting acrossthe public sector, industry and the academia from all over the world are expected to attend the Forum in Abeokuta.
During the Forum, delegates will be guided to a tour of investment opportunities that exist in the State owing to its position as the Gateway State and close proximity to the nation’s premier commercial capital, Lagos. Discussions will centre around topics on Agriculture/Agro Allied Business, Infrastructure, Roads, Housing, Energy and Transport, Logistics/Distribution/Retail Trade, Manufacturing – The OgunState Experience, funding Opportunities/Financing and Ogun State Modus Operandi.
